Aligning donor funding with country health priorities can help build more equitable and resilient health systems that serve the needs of women, children and adolescents, especially in hard-to-reach communities. Despite efforts to align with national health plans, budgets and systems, external aid is still highly fragmented. Addressing this challenge requires strong commitment from governments and donors alike, as well as strengthened public financial management to make spending on health more efficient, equitable and transparent.

This special session cohosted by the GFF, World Bank and Global Fund brought together country Ministers and practitioners, as well as global development partners to discuss challenges and opportunities to chart a way forward for stronger alignment and impact.
