Stalled progress and crises are jeopardizing the health, rights and opportunities of women, children and adolescents.

More than 60 countries, including 35 out of 36 Global Financing Facility (GFF) partner countries, are now off track to meet the SDG health targets for maternal, newborn, and stillborn mortality reduction by 2030. If the global goals are met, there is potential to save at least 7.8 million lives.

But there is an opportunity to change the trajectory now: invest in stronger health systems that meet the needs of women, children, and adolescents to deliver a healthier, more prosperous future for all.

That is why the governments of Côte d’IvoireGermany and the Netherlands, along with the World Bank, are calling on the international community to step up now to Deliver the Future by investing in the health and rights of women, children and adolescents in the world’s poorest countries, unleashing their potential.
