In recent years, three new financing mechanisms with a nutrition focus have been launched: the Global Financing Facility (GFF), Power of Nutrition and UNITLIFE. These new financing mechanisms all feature “innovative” financing features, through leveraging and deploying resources for nutrition in new ways. All three financing mechanisms are still in the early stages of their work, and their eventual impact is therefore yet to be seen, in terms of overall new financing for nutrition. The GFF has moved a little more quickly in supporting several countries. For this reason, this report focuses on the GFF.
