The new WB/GFF project was launched in April 2022. The project will support some of the objectives set out by GoSL in its medium-term National Development Plan (NDP) to address the country’s health sector challenges. Those objectives will include the following: (a) improving health systems governance and human resource management; (b) improving primary and secondary health care delivery systems; (c) strengthening HMIS through the digitalization of health care systems and processes; (d) encouraging public-private partnerships (PPP) by developing the policy and legal framework to pave the way for private investments in health; and (e) promoting efficient health-care delivery; and (f) reintroducing school health services in secondary schools.
